| Nicolette and I both love Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and have always wanted to make a great Cabernet together. Between us, we have held just about every production job in the wine industry. Our dream came together for us in 2001. Ron Wicker, a terrific vineyard manager, called and told us some perfectly farmed Clone 8 had suddenly become available. One look and we knew we had to have some. Almost before we knew it, we were putting our stamp on some of the finest grapes grown in the world and doing our best to produce wine that expresses the purity of the Napa Valley.  |

Since then, other friends in the vineyard management side of things have stepped in to help us realize our quest to produce wonderful Cabernet Sauvignon. Jim Lincoln of Lincoln Ranch has supplied us with terrific fruit from his family’s Oakville property; Brian Penterman of Penterman Farming has located small lots of beautiful fruit for us; Jim Walker and Mike Nunez of the Napa Sonoma Vineyard Group have farmed some special little plots that add nuance to our wine. It is our access to fruit grown by great farmers like these that makes our wines special. We hope you will try some to see what we and our friends can do.
